Wakefield, MA, February 23, 2021 – A longstanding user of Picis solutions since 2006, William Osler Health System (Osler) expressed a desire to implement the Anesthesia Record Keeping system, to enhance their existing solutions OR Manager, SmarTrack and Critical Care Manager.
Through the functionality of the system, paper-based charting was eliminated, and the Anesthesia Documentation and Process became more efficient and accurate.
The outcomes of the project include:
The automated Anesthesia Record Keeping system was implemented in multiple Osler facilities. The software rollout occurred over a period of three months at Brampton Civic Hospital (Brampton ON), Etobicoke General Hospital (Etobicoke ON) and Peel Memorial Centre for Health and Wellness (Brampton, ON). Thanks to the great partnership between the hospital team and the Picis team, the project was a resounding success.
“Osler is grateful for the superior service we received from Picis as we worked to implement their Anesthesia Manager system at our hospitals. Integrating Anesthesia Manager into our day-to-day clinical operations has helped our team automate and streamline a range of tasks, which improves the quality and safety of our patient care,” said Pooja Pundhir, Project Manager at Osler. “This integration project was successful due to strong leadership from Dr. Stanley Herman, Osler’s Chief of Anesthesia, and the amazing teamwork and collaboration between the Osler and Picis teams.”
Heather Davis, VP of Professional Services for Picis shared, “I had the pleasure of being onsite in 2006 during Osler’s first Picis Go-Live and it is with great joy to join them in expanding Picis’s portfolio throughout their organization. With the addition of Anesthesia Manager, the team will now have the ability to manage the patient journey from incision to decision to discharge. We thoroughly enjoyed working with their implementation team and look forward to supporting our ongoing relationship.”
