VA Awards Contract for Picis Anesthesia Record Keeping and Post-Anesthesia Care System for Same Day Surgery Clinics

Wakefield, MA, January 31, 2018– Picis Clinical Solutions, Inc., a leading provider of high acuity and perioperative software for public, private and federal government customers today announced that the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) has awarded a contract for the Picis Anesthesia Record Keeping (ARK) system for two clinics within the Veterans Integrated Services Network (VISN) Mid-Atlantic Health Care Network (VISN 6).

As part of the contract, the Picis team will implement ARK and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at the Kernersville and Charlotte VHA Clinics which will provide same day surgery offerings to the local Veteran population. This mature software has been installed in the commercial market since 2003, and is currently deployed at VHA in 78 facilities.  This recent award builds on VISN 6’s Picis foundation and extends its partnership with Picis across perioperative and critical care management software.
