Wakefield, MA, October 31, 2019 – Picis Clinical Solutions, Inc. (Picis), a global provider of clinical information solutions, today announced the release of Picis 10 for Clinicals. The all new user interface (UI) focuses on providing an improved aesthetic appeal while also greatly refining the workflows.
The new UI, specifically designed for Anesthesia Manager, PACU Manager and Critical Care Manager, features a modernized design with an emphasis on elevating usability and increasing productivity while also supporting compliance with Anesthesia Quality Measures. The UI was inspired by feedback from customers and partners.
With the emphasis on quality measures, Anesthesia Manager now allows facilities to export the data to a national registry (NACOR). The NACOR registry, administered by Anesthesia Quality Institute (AQI), helps anesthesiologists meet CMS Quality Payment Programs (QPP) reporting requirements and tracks their quality performance using national benchmarks.
Along with the contemporary look, major infrastructure changes have been implemented throughout the clinical software. Enhancements and new features can now be added quickly to the software, allowing for easy deployments of updates. Improved infrastructure allows for the future development of mobile and tablet applications.
The Picis 10 release also includes refined functionality that makes it easier to find, view and enter data in the patient chart. Intentionally designed to enable clinicians to be more attentive to patients, modifications were made to improve navigation, optimize screen space throughout the product with all-encompassing updates to the menus, toolbars and patient panels.
Other notable changes include updates to device communication statuses, quick access to add team members to the medical team, and improved search capability in all features of the applications. Enhancements were also made to further support Windows 2016 Server and 2016 SQL server.
“Picis 10 is an important release for us because of the extensive changes we’ve made to the user interface concentrating on the workflow for clinicians. This newest release achieves the goal of improving the clinician user experience while helping manage the entire patient surgical journey with one contiguous record, allowing clinicians to focus on putting the patient first” stated Marcus Perez, Picis Executive Vice President.
Following the major milestone of Picis celebrating 25 years, the Picis 10 Clinicals release marks another key move for the company, setting the foundation for its next user interface release, Picis Total Perioperative Automation, coming in Spring 2020.
