• Rules Processor that allows ED leadership to write clinical and operational rules to remind clinicians of care protocols as well as important documentation.  It also includes preconfigured rules content for Department Rules and Operational Rules. 
• Department Rules include content that helps managers and administrators manage a busy department.
  Here are examples of Department Rules that can inform you:
  • When there are too many people in the waiting  room
  • When the number of patients in the waiting  room surpasses a number that you define 
  •  When the average turn around time for lab results has exceeded a time threshold
• Operational Rules help clinicians to improve documentation and help to improve reimbursement for that care.

  • Know when order results have not been returned within a reasonable time
  • Know if a patient has any open orders
