Perioperative Services Director Ralf Jeworowski to lead session on benefits of Picis business intelligence solutions in the OR

WAKEFIELD, Mass. — Picis announced today that Ralf Jeworowski, RN, CNOR, director of perioperative services at Queen of the Valley Medical Center, will conduct a key session at this year’s Association of periOperative Registered Nurses Congress (AORN), Mar. 14-19, in Chicago, Ill.
Jeworowski’s session, “Perioperative Performance Management,” will provide insight into how hospitals can leverage Business Intelligence (BI) techniques in the perioperative environment, and the benefits of multi-dimensional reporting and analysis realized at Queen of the Valley Medical Center – including improved resource optimization, on-time case starts, throughput, billing readiness and documentation completeness. Jeworowski will use real-world examples to demonstrate the practical application of BI, along with BI basics and how the application of BI can help identify simple process changes, best practices and areas of opportunity in healthcare.

Ralf Jeworowski is a registered nurse (RN) and the director of preoperative services at Queen of the Valley Medical Center, headquartered in Napa, Ca. Jeworowski entered the nursing profession in 1983 after graduating from the School of Nursing in Solingen, Germany. He has 25 years of operating room experience, 15 years in academic teaching hospitals and 17 years of management.
