“I think that communication has significantly improved with Anesthesia Manager. The PACU nurses now have a legible piece of documentation that they can look at anytime to see when the antibiotic was given, when was that medication given, and it’s very clear. It’s well documented and in this case, it flows beautifully into the PACU record. The ICUs like the transfer because if we drop off a very complicated patient especially pediatric patients, they often want to know what kind of drugs were given when they try to extricate a little baby, what muscle relaxant and what dose was given and what time. And that was often not easy to find on a paper record. Now it’s printed on a standard looking format so they are very happy to see that and so are the nurses and surgeons on the floor. ”
