MTORS 2011

In the Spotlight

Managing Today’s OR Suite (MTORS), Anesthesiology 2011
and Canadian User Group

As usual, the fall has been a busy season of tradeshows and events! Picis recently had significant presence in the windy city at Managing Today’s OR Suite (MTORS) and Anesthesiology 2011, the annual meeting of the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA). In early November, we held the Picis Canadian User Group Meeting at our host client site, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto!

At MTORS and Anesthesiology 2011, attendees benefited from a wide array of educational sessions featuring clinical, technical, and organizational topics. Picis showcased our latest solutions in the exhibit halls of each show providing an opportunity for visiting clients and prospects to see our latest and greatest advances.

At MTORS, we urged attendees to learn, network and explore. We presented a CE course on the benefits of an advanced patient tracking system entitled: Utilizing Advanced Patient/Case Tracking to Optimize Patient Flow. Furthering the patient tracking theme, a brand new video was debuted showcasing the top features and benefits of Picis SmarTrack®. We sponsored a cocktail reception to ensure attendees had a chance to network and unwind after a day of sessions. Attendees were also able to learn more about how the Picis Perioperative Suite integrates the continuum of surgical care.

At ASA, attendees were granted a chance to see a guest vendor, ePREOP™, provider of an exciting preoperative portal solution that addresses the common challenges of the preoperative intake process, in action in the Picis booth. Attendees also learned how the government’s EHR Incentive Program impacts anesthesiologists and how Picis solutions have been certified for meaningful use Stage 1, helping in your hospital’s quest to achieve meaningful use. In addition, we offered a primer for making the case for an AIMS, as we know that the salient benefits of an AIMS are often associated with anesthesiologists; when, in fact, an AIMS can be crucial to the success of a hospital. Attendees also participated in demonstrations of Picis Anesthesia Manager, the most widely installed AIMS worldwide.

During the recent Picis Canadian User Group meeting hosted by distinguished client Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, Toronto, more than 100 clients teamed up for educational sessions and networking with fellow Picis clients. Clients had the opportunity to learn from peers and Picis product experts about how to best leverage Picis perioperative and critical care solutions in innovative ways to solve pressing challenges. Clients heard about the latest developments, from wait time integration with Picis OR Manager, to innovative reporting, to best practices and tips and tricks. Clients also had a chance to unwind over an extravagant dinner.

We hope you will join us for our upcoming shows and events!
